Jan lives in Stewarton, just a few minutes from the Shop. She started the Interiors business from her studio in Newton Mearns in 1994, before moving to Stewarton in 2009 and opening the shop which has become more of a family affair, in 2016.
A former pupil of Hutchesons’ Grammar School and graduate of Queens College (formerly “The Dough School”), Jan has always had a great love of Interiors, her clients, her children, her beloved pugs and of course……her husband.
Jan has a teaching degree in Home Economics, ran a small chain of Ladies Fashion shops in the 1990s and was P.A. to her father, when he ran another well-known Scottish family business set up by her great uncle, R. S. McColl.
Jan takes her responsibilities for customer satisfaction very seriously and is involved with every job, to ensure that the project is finished to each client’s complete satisfaction and our work lives up to her own very high and exacting standards.
She is often at the shop when not out on visiting clients and will always share a tale or have a friendly chat with clients and local residents.
Jan works mainly on Residential Interiors but oversees our work for privately owned Hotels, Dental Practices, Restaurants and Golf Clubs.
